So far so good...

I've got a slight schedule going on with the baby. 6am we wake up, get ready and out the door with Tony to drop him off at work. Get back home by 7:30 and if it's bottle time, then he gets a bottle if not we just nap until the next feeding time. Then I keep him awake for most of the morning until around 1pm and around that time he's had another bottle so down for a nap he goes. This is when I run to the bathroom and fix my lunch. Usually I can eat it and clean whatever dishes I used. Then he wakes up for another feeding and he's up until we leave around 5pm to go pick up Tony. He usually snoozes on the way there and back so by the time we get back he needs to eat again. I cook dinner and Tony eats first and then I do (if the baby's awake). Then I give Antonio over to Tony to watch while I pick up dinner dishes and do some chores around the house.

Phew!

Some days I don't get anything accomplished and don't even change out of my pjs. It all depends on the baby's mood really. If he's fussy, that makes me less likely to get anything done. I let him nap on me (usually he'll nap in his swing or surrounded by pillows on the bed).

But I am getting a handle on this. Sucks though, I have to be washing bottles all the time. I need to buy more (But Gianni,. that'll only make more dirty bottles. That's ok...but it'll be less often that I'll be cleaning them!).

I'm smart though...I prepare the last night bottle and the 3 early morning bottles for the next day...that way in my half awake state at 3am I don't have to fumble with the powdered formula. Just grab it out of the fridge and bam, baby's being fed.

I just realized I didn't shower yesterday. Nor did I change my shirt. It has spit up on the left shoulder. Lovely.

I am going to take a long hot shower and have some chocolate ice cream.

Tomorrow, I plan to go to Miami Lakes and visit with a friend that used to live next door to me from when I was 12 til about 22. Ten years is a long time to be neighbors!! Her godmother has a place that she wants me to see...maybe it'll be perfect and we can start moving next week. (I'll need help since Tony'll be working).

  1. Girl as someone else who bottle fed, trust me don't get more bottles then you would use in one day. Otherwise you get overwhelmed with dirty bottles.
